Br. John (Damian) McMahon was a member of the Brothers of St. Francis Xavier. According to media reports, in 2019, his name appeared publicly on the Xaverian Brothers' list of clergy credibly accused of sexual abuse of minors. It noted that in 2010, an allegation that McMahon sexually abused a minor in the late 1980s was reported.
In 1991, McMahon retired. In 2010, he was placed on a safety plan that restricted him from interactions with minors. McMahon's status as a brother, whereabouts, and whether he had access to children from 1990 until his death.
In July 2019, McMahon's name first appeared publicly on the Archdiocese of Baltimore's list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors. He was assigned to Mt. St. Joseph High School from 1957 through 1965.
McMahon died in 2015.
