Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Anthony Giuliano:

In August 2016, a 43-year-old man reported to police that Fr. Anthony J. Giuliano sexually abused him in the rectory of the Holy Rosary Church in Baychester, New York, between 1987-1988, when the boy was 15-years-old.

According to media reports, the victim said the two would play wrestle, and one day, under the guise of showing him a wrestling technique, Giuliano pulled down his underwear and molested him. Giuliano denied the allegation. He was then suspended from St. John the Evangelist in Pawling and St. Charles Borromeo in Dover Plains, New York. Giuliano pastored at both of these parishes at the time of the allegation.

The NYPD investigated, but no criminal charges were filed because the statute of limitations had passed. As of June 2017, Giuliano remained on leave pending results by the archdiocesan Lay Review Board, which was eventually found to be credible.

Giuliano was removed from ministry in 2016 and is listed on the Archdiocese of New York's 2019 List of Archdiocesan Clergy Credibly Accused of Sexual Abuse of a Minor or the Subject of Eligible IRCP Compensation Claims.

Giuliano's whereabouts and whether he has access to children are unknown.
