Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Douglas Faraci:
Father Douglas Faraci was ordained a priest in 1969. According to media reports, in March 2018, his name was included in the Diocese of Buffalo's list of of priests who "were removed from ministry, were retired, or left ministry after allegations of sexual abuse of a minor." No information on the allegations regarding age/gender of the victim has been disclosed. His case was sent to the Vatican for a final review.
In August 2019, Father Faraci was named in a lawsuit filed under the NY Child Victim Act, alleging that he sexually abused a child beginning in 1974, and continuing through 1978. In May 2020, he was removed from diocesan payroll as part of a bankruptcy agreement.
Father Faraci retired in 2004. He is believed to currently be living in Tonawanda, New York.
In April 2020, Father Faraci was one of 23 priests removed off of the Diocese of Buffalo's payroll through an agreement it reached with survivors in U.S. Bankruptcy Court.
