In 2020, Fr. Gilles J.R. Brault was included on a list of priests in the Diocese of St. Augustine who was named as being "credibly accused" of child sex abuse. Very little is known of Brault's activities within the church as the Diocese of St. Augustine has not released any information about Brault's assignment history. In addition, information about the age/gender of his alleged victim/victims, the nature of the alleged sexual abuse, or Brault's assignments at the time of the alleged abuse is unknown.
It is only noted that Fr. Gilles J.R. Brault abused a victim in 1977. Brault is deceased, but the year in which died is unknown.
