Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Stanley Mathews:
According to media reports, Fr. Stanley Mathews was ordained in 1946. In April 2019, his name appeared on the Archdiocese of New York's list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors. The claims against him are eligible for the Independent Reconciliation and Compensation Program (IRCP).
Very little is known of Mathews's activities within the church as the Archdiocese of New York has not released any information about Mathew's assignment history. In addition, information about the age/gender of his alleged victim/victims, the nature of the alleged sexual abuse, or Mathew's assignments at the time of the alleged abuse is unknown.
Mathews died in 1993.
