Sister Mary Columbine was a member of the Felician Sisters religious order, officially known as the Congregation of Sisters of St. Felix of Cantalice Third Order Regular of St. Francis of Assisi. According to media reports, in 2020, she was named in a lawsuit against the Diocese of Buffalo in which she was accused of sexually abusing of a six-year-old child in 1952. At the time of the alleged abuse, she was serving at Immaculate Heart of Mary Home for Children in Buffalo, NY. The victim claims that Sr. Mary engaged in unpermitted sexual contact. No other details have been released.
