Hallandale Beach Publix Employee Tyrone Daley Arrested Following Allegations Involving Co-Worker’s Daughter
Tyrone Daley Publix

Tyrone Daley, a former employee at a Hallandale Beach Publix store, has been charged with four felony counts after investigators alleged he sexually abused the young daughter of a co-worker over a period of several years.

According to media reports, Daley, 56, surrendered to authorities on July 12, 2026, after prosecutors filed four counts of lewd or lascivious molestation. He is currently being held without bond pending further court proceedings.

Allegations Against Tyrone Daley

According to the arrest report, the investigation began after the child’s mother, who also worked at the Publix located at 1400 East Hallandale Beach Boulevard in Hallandale Beach, contacted police on February 17, 2026. The child reportedly disclosed that Daley had touched her inappropriately and that the conduct had begun when she was 10 years old and continued for approximately three years. Investigators allege the child, who has been diagnosed with mild to moderate autism, was present at the store while accompanying her mother to work because childcare was unavailable.

Authorities allege that:

  • Daley worked at the Publix located at 1400 East Hallandale Beach Boulevard for approximately four years
  • The alleged victim was the daughter of one of Daley’s co-workers
  • The alleged conduct began when the child was 10 years old and continued for approximately three years
  • The incidents allegedly occurred in the employee break room while the child’s mother was working
  • The child, who has been diagnosed with mild to moderate autism, identified Daley in surveillance footage
  • Surveillance footage reportedly showed Daley looking around before entering the break room while the child was alone
  • The child told investigators she repeatedly told Daley no, but the alleged conduct continued
  • DNA testing reportedly identified Daley’s DNA on the crotch area of the child’s pajama pants
  • Daley denied touching or interacting with the child during an interview with investigators

Evidence Collected During the Investigation

According to the arrest report, investigators reviewed surveillance footage from the Publix store, conducted a forensic interview with the child, interviewed Daley, and obtained DNA evidence during the investigation. Authorities allege the child consistently identified Daley as the individual who abused her, while Daley denied ever touching or interacting with her beyond seeing her in the break room. Court records indicate Daley has been charged with four counts of lewd or lascivious molestation and remains held without bond pending further proceedings.

Publix Responds

According to media reports, Publix stated that it does not currently have an employee named Tyrone Daley working for the company. The company did not provide additional information regarding his prior employment.

Employees Occupy Positions of Trust

Parents trust businesses and employers to provide safe environments for their employees and families. When children accompany a parent to work, they should be protected from abuse and exploitation, particularly when they are vulnerable because of their age or developmental disabilities.

Employees who become familiar with co-workers and their families may gain positions of trust that should never be exploited. Businesses have a responsibility to respond promptly to allegations of misconduct and to help ensure their workplaces remain safe for employees and their loved ones.

The allegations against Tyrone Daley involve the reported abuse of a co-worker’s daughter inside a workplace where the child was present while her mother worked. Cases like this underscore the importance of protecting vulnerable children and taking allegations of abuse seriously.
