
On February 21, 2025, the Sarasota Police arrested Juan Carlos Fleitas-Tamayo of Bradenton, FL, and charged him with Sexual Battery following multiple reports by clients that Fleitas-Tamayo touched them inappropriately during their massage. According to media reports, Fleitas-Tamayo, 53, had been working as a massage therapist and has been employed by several offices throughout the Sarasota and Miami areas. Juan Carlos Fleitas-Tamayo has been a licensed massage therapist in Florida since January 2012. According to an online profile, Juan Carlos Fleitas-Tamayo is listed on the NORFRA Health & Beauty site as a therapist and shares that over his 20-year career, he worked at many spas in Sarasota and Miami and in rehab facilities in South America. Details of the abuse and where they took place are unknown, but the Sarasota Police Department believes there are more victims in the area and encourages anyone with info to come forward and speak with investigators.
