A Fort Lauderdale massage therapist, Alejandro Jose Pages, has voluntarily surrendered his Florida massage therapy license following allegations of inappropriate sexual contact with a female client during a massage at Evara Beach Spa.
According to a Florida Department of Health administrative complaint, Pages, a licensed massage therapist, allegedly engaged in sexual misconduct during a June 22, 2023, appointment at Evara Beach Spa, located at Auberge Beach Residences, 2200 North Ocean Boulevard, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
On October 30, 2026, the Florida Board of Massage Therapy issued a final order accepting Pages's voluntary relinquishment of his license as disciplinary action. Pages had been a licensed massage therapist in Florida since 2023.
Facts and Allegations Against Alejandro Pages
According to the Florida Department of Health's administrative complaint, Case No. 2023-31639, the following allegations were made:
- June 22, 2023: A female client, identified in the complaint as Patient A.B., visited Evara Beach Spa for massage services provided by Pages.
- Inappropriate touching: During the massage, Pages allegedly rubbed or touched the client's vagina.
- Sexual penetration: The complaint alleges that Pages inserted his fingers into the client's vagina during the treatment.
- Additional inappropriate contact: Pages allegedly squeezed or touched the client's nipple.
- Professional misconduct: The Department of Health alleged that these actions constituted sexual misconduct outside the scope of accepted massage therapy practices.
The administrative complaint alleged violations of Florida Statute 480.046(1)(p) and applicable Florida Administrative Code provisions prohibiting sexual activity and sexual misconduct during massage therapy.
The allegations concern conduct during a professional treatment in which the client had entrusted Pages with her physical care.
Florida Board of Massage Therapy Accepts Alejandro Pages's License Surrender
According to Florida Department of Health disciplinary records, the case resulted in the voluntary surrender of Pages's massage therapy license.
The administrative complaint was filed in September 2025. The Florida Board of Massage Therapy considered Pages's agreement to voluntarily relinquish his license at its July 23, 2026, meeting.
On October 30, 2026, the Board issued a final order accepting the relinquishment, which constitutes disciplinary action against his license.
Florida Department of Health licensing records, current as of November 2, 2026, list Pages's license as retired and reflect the voluntary surrender in Case No. 2023-31639.
The disciplinary order does not, by itself, establish that Pages was criminally convicted or that a court made findings regarding the alleged conduct.
Alejandro Pages Allegedly Violated the Massage Therapist-Patient Relationship
When clients schedule a massage, they expect to relax and receive professional treatment in a safe environment. They trust that the spa's massage therapists are properly vetted, qualified, and able to maintain appropriate professional boundaries. It is unacceptable and unlawful for a massage therapist to engage in nonconsensual sexual contact with a client. Massage therapy often takes place in private treatment rooms, leaving clients particularly vulnerable to abuse by someone entrusted with their care.
According to the Florida Department of Health's administrative complaint, Alejandro Pages allegedly abused his position as a massage therapist by engaging in inappropriate sexual contact with a female client during a treatment at Evara Beach Spa. This alleged conduct seriously violates the trust inherent in the massage therapist-patient relationship and raises concerns about the professional judgment and ethical standards required to practice massage therapy safely. The Florida Board of Massage Therapy subsequently accepted Pages's voluntary surrender of his license as disciplinary action.
