Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Joseph Murphy:

Fr. Joseph Murphy was a member of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate Order who served in the Diocese of Oakland and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. According to media reports, in September 2019, he was accused of sexually abusing a child from 1957 to 1960, while he worked at St. Ferdinand’s in San Fernando.

Fr. Murphy was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ Addendum 2005 list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors. He died in 1975.
