Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Timothy Lane:

Fr. Timothy Lane was ordained a Josephite priest in 1995, who served in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. According to media reports, in 2006, he was accused of sexually abusing an 18-year-old girl at St. Joseph’s Seminary in Santa Maria just after graduating from high school. The assault allegedly took place at Lane’s residence at the St. Joseph seminary. Fr. Lane was subsequently transferred to Missouri, but no criminal charges could be filed due to insufficient evidence.

According to the Official Catholic Directory, as of 2017, Fr. Lane was the Guestmaster at St. Joseph Seminary in Santa Maria, CA. His name is listed on the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ 2018 List of Archdiocesan Clergy Credibly Accused of Sexual Abuse of a Minor.
