Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Eric Price:
Eric Price was a lay teacher that worked in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. In April 2023, Maryland’s Attorney General released a report alleging 156 Catholic clergy members sexually abused at least 600 children over six decades. The report lists the names of the abusers, including Eric Price.
According to the Attorney General’s report, in 2006, a man reported having been sexually abused by Eric Price and Deacon Thomas Kuhl in the mid-1990s, beginning when he was 14 years old. The victim attended Our Lady of Pompei and was a student at Towson Catholic High School, where Deacon Kuhl was his religion teacher. Deacon Kuhl also was the choir director and was involved in various classes and activities. Kuhl invited the victim to his home for dinner, where the victim met Eric Price. Deacon Kuhl left the victim alone with Eric Price, who took the victim to a bedroom in order to show the victim pornography. Deacon Kuhl returned, and the men sexually abused the victim. The sexual abuse continued weekly for at least one year. Both Deacon Kuhl and Eric Price were removed from their roles, and the Archdiocese entered a settlement with the victim in 2009.
Neither Eric Price nor Deacon Kuhl appears on the Archdiocese of Baltimore’s list of clergy credibly accused of sexual misconduct with a minor, as deacons and laymen are not included on the credibly accused list.
