Summary of Abuse Allegations against Br. William Morgan:

Br. William Morgan was one of the 156 priests identified by the Maryland Attorney General as having been accused of sexually abusing minors during their tenure with the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

According to the Attorney General's report, a couple reported that Br. Morgan had sexually abused their 4-year-old granddaughter in 1986, while staying with the victim's family during a vacation in Maryland. The victim's mother was uncomfortable due to Br. Morgan holding the victim in inappropriate ways. The victim reported that Br. Morgan repeatedly undressed in her presence, including touch her with his genitalia. The couple also reported that in approximately 1976, Br. Morgan also abused another girl in the victim's family and the daughter of the family's neighbor.

In approximately 1986, Br. Morgan described having been sexually inappropriate with children during his assignment in Papua New Guinea, according to the report.

Br. Morgan's name appears on the Society of the Divine Word, Chicago Province's list of priests credibly accused of sexual misconduct with a minor. Br. Morgan's name does not appear on the Archdiocese of Baltimore's list of priests credibly accused of sexual misconduct with a minor.

According to media reports, Br. Morgan died in 2008.
