Jason Michael Vigliotti, age 55, a massage therapist at Affordable Chiropractic in Gainesville, was arrested on June 23, 2026, following allegations that he sexually battered an adult client during a massage appointment. According to media reports and court records, Vigliotti is charged with one count of sexual battery, a second-degree felony under Florida law.

According to the Florida Department of Health, Vigliotti has been a licensed massage therapist in Florida since September 2016, and his massage therapy license remains active.

Affordable Chiropractic is located at 330 NW 76th Drive Gainesville, Florida.

Allegations Against Jason Vigliotti

According to media reports, the allegations stem from an incident that allegedly occurred during an after-hours massage appointment on March 14, 2026. The victim reportedly told investigators she had been receiving massages from Vigliotti for approximately six months before the alleged assault.

Authorities allege that:

  • Many of the appointments reportedly took place after normal business hours while the chiropractic office was closed, with Vigliotti unlocking the office for her arrival.
  • The victim reported noticing increasingly inappropriate conduct during earlier appointments, including improper draping that exposed her body, unnecessary requests to remove clothing, and having her underwear pulled down without any legitimate therapeutic purpose.
  • The victim reported that Vigliotti did not maintain treatment records for her appointments and accepted only cash or electronic payment.
  • During the March 14 appointment, investigators allege Vigliotti used a massage gun on the victim’s genital area before applying massage cream and then touching her sexually without her consent, including penetration with his fingers.
  • The victim told investigators she felt “frozen” and unable to move during the alleged assault.
  • Investigators allege Vigliotti repeatedly told the victim, “Whatever happens here stays here,” and “You can’t tell anyone.”
  • According to reports, Vigliotti also allegedly referred to the victim as a “good girl” after asking whether she would report the incident, and later told her she did not need to pay for the massage.
  • The victim reported that Vigliotti repeatedly thanked her during the alleged assault and later experienced bleeding after leaving the appointment.

According to media reports, a friend of the victim who had previously employed Vigliotti told investigators she had received two prior complaints from clients regarding improper draping during massage sessions. She also reported that one client previously complained Vigliotti had touched her in a sexual manner and described the conduct alleged in this case as “severe malpractice.”

Subsequent to the arrest, the Alachua County Sheriff's Office stated that they believe Vigliotti was renting space inside the Affordable Chiropractic Office for a privately owned business, and that the appointment that is the subject of the criminal action was booked directly through Vigliotti.

Media reports further state that detectives learned during their investigation that Vigliotti reportedly had a history of inappropriate behavior during massage sessions. Investigators have not publicly disclosed whether those reported incidents resulted in prior criminal complaints, but they believe there could be more victims.

Criminal Charge and Court Proceedings

Court records show Vigliotti has been charged with one count of sexual battery, a second-degree felony under Florida law. According to media reports, Vigliotti declined to provide a statement to investigators after being advised of his Miranda rights. The court also entered a standing no-contact order prohibiting Vigliotti from contacting the alleged victim while the criminal case is pending.

A judge initially ordered Vigliotti held without bond pending a hearing on the State Attorney’s request for pretrial detention. The criminal case remains pending.

Massage Therapists Occupy Positions of Trust

When clients schedule a massage, they do so to relax and relieve stress. They trust that licensed massage therapists are properly vetted and will act professionally, with integrity, and with respect for boundaries.

Under Florida law, massage therapists occupy positions of trust, and any sexual contact with a client is strictly prohibited. A therapist may not use the therapist-client relationship to induce or attempt to induce a client to engage in sexual activity outside the accepted scope of practice or standards of treatment.

It is unlawful, unethical, and a violation of professional duty for any massage therapist to touch a client sexually. Because massage therapy occurs in private settings where clients are especially vulnerable, practitioners are expected to exercise sound judgment and uphold the highest standards of moral character.

The allegations against Jason Vigliotti describe an alleged abuse of that trust involving a client who sought professional massage therapy services.
