On Sunday, March 2, 2025, a Miami massage therapist at Trump National Spa in Doral was arrested after being accused of sexually abusing a 17-year-old boy during a massage appointment. Yasmina Ponce Rodriguez was charged with lewd and lascivious touching/certain minors. Rodriguez’s LinkedIn says she previously worked at Destiny Day Spa & Salon. Ponce Rodriguez, age 55, has been a licensed massage therapist in Florida since 2023. She was previously employed as a cosmetologist and esthetician.
According to media reports, Doral Police officers arrived at Trump National, located at 4400 NW 87th Ave., after receiving reports of a sexual molestation involving a 17-year-old male. The arrest report says that officers spoke with the victim, who told them he was a club member of the hotel and frequented the spa. The 17-year-old booked a massage with Rodriguez, which he has done in the past. The report states that during the massage, the boy was lying on the massage table, fully undressed, with a draped sheet covering his lower body.
Twenty-five minutes into the massage, the victim told officers that Rodriguez moved the sheet, which exposed his genital area, and then she began to touch him inappropriately. The victim then attempted to slap Rodriguez’s hand away, and she stopped. The massage session then continued, and Rodriguez asked the victim if he was “good.” The two rarely spoke much during massages due to a language barrier, but the victim told police that Rodriguez did not say anything to him after she allegedly touched him inappropriately.
The report stated that after the massage was finished, the boy called his girlfriend, who was with the victim’s mother, and after discussing the incident, they decided to call the police to file a report. Rodriguez was taken into custody and denies the allegations.
On October 7, 2025, Yasmina Ponce Rodriguez permanently surrendered her massage therapy license in Florida as part of a disciplinary proceeding brought by the Florida Department of Health. This development follows an April 22, 2025, Emergency Order by the Florida Surgeon General suspending her massage therapy license. In the Emergency Order, the Surgeon General found probable cause to believe that Ms. Ponce Rodriguez committed sexual misconduct and stated that “Ms. Ponce Rodriguez’s continued practice of massage therapy constitutes an immediate, serious danger to the health, safety or welfare of the public.”
