In December 2025, Jorge Lugo Rivera, a 27-year-old massage therapist employed at a Massage Envy Country Walk location in Miami-Dade County, Florida, was arrested following allegations that he sexually battered a female client during a scheduled massage session.
According to a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office arrest affidavit, the alleged assault occurred on February 24, 2025, inside a Massage Envy treatment room while the victim was alone and partially undressed for a paid massage service.
Facts & Allegations Reported Against Jorge Lugo Rivera
According to police:
- The victim was receiving a 90-minute massage session at the Massage Envy location on SW 152 Street in Miami.
- During the massage, Lugo Rivera allegedly touched the victim’s vaginal area without consent. It was reported that Lugo Rivera slid his hands inside the victim's underwear and rubbed her vagina.
- The victim told investigators she attempted to stop the behavior and asked Lugo Rivera to stop, but he allegedly continued.
- After the session ended, the victim immediately reported the incident to Massage Envy staff and left the premises visibly upset and crying.
Massage Envy management reportedly initiated an internal investigation the same day.
Law Enforcement Investigation
The affidavit states:
- The victim later provided a sworn statement to detectives detailing the alleged assault.
- She also provided investigators with Lugo Rivera’s Instagram account, including photos identifying him as the massage therapist involved.
- The complaint was entered into the police system, and the case was assigned to detectives.
On December 15, 2025, Lugo Rivera voluntarily went to the Hammocks police station after detectives attempted to locate him. He was placed in an interview room, read his Miranda rights, and gave a self-serving statement to investigators. According to police, he acknowledged that the victim complained to Massage Envy management and that an internal investigation was conducted.
Lugo Rivera was terminated following the investigation.
Criminal Charges and Court Proceedings
Court records show that Lugo Rivera was arrested on December 15, 2025, and charged with:
- Battery (Misdemeanor) under Florida Statute 784.03
Bond was set at $10,000, with additional conditions including house arrest, electronic monitoring, and a stay-away order. A court hearing is currently scheduled for January 16, 2026, in Miami-Dade County Court.
